Rooted in Relationship: The Green Thumbs, Calm Minds Method™ and the Practice of Growing Connections with Rebecca Taylor

This workshop introduces the Green Thumbs, Calm Minds Method™ (GTCM) - a structured, replicable framework for therapeutic horticulture practice developed through almost a decade of community-based delivery in regional Victoria. At its heart, the GTCM is a methodology about connection: to place, to living systems, to self, to community, and to the rhythms and agency that grow when people tend the land together.

Presented by a Social Ecologist and Counsellor alongside an experienced conservation horticulturalist with deep roots in place-based community work, this session explores how a structured relational framework can transform therapeutic horticulture from activity into genuine deep practice - and how the act of growing things is, at its core, the act of growing connections.
